In the Seam: Where Silence is Sewn

11 November – 16 November 2025

When fabric tears, tiny threads appear at the edge, as if it could still be repaired. In the seams of fabric lie traces both fragile and resilient. They bear witness to rupture, yet also hold the possibility of connection.

This exhibition invites everyone to look closely at these sewn spaces, where history, feelings, memories, and identity come together in quiet conversation.

A seam can be a line that separates, but also a place that connects. We see sewing as an act of care , repair, and hope. It turns broken pieces into something whole again.

Through textile, fiber, installation, sound, moving image, and cross-media practices, twelve artworks engage with mending, weaving, layering, or echoing untold stories. Some respond to personal and collective memory; others bring forward what has been muted, overlooked, or dispersed. Perhaps, for some, the act of making also becomes a way to confront or transform experiences of trauma.

Curious how dance and weaving can heal together?
