Modern Renderings – Drawings of Architecture

9th – 12th March, open daily 11 – 6pm

A solo exhibition at the Fitzrovia Gallery of pencil drawings by architectural artist Minty Sainsbury. The exhibition looks a number of different collections of drawing styles that Minty has developed over the years. More recently she has been inspired by the architecture near her artists’s studio in the City of London.

The exhibition will showcase her original pencil drawings, but there will also be limited edition prints, and greetings cards available to buy.

 

Minty Sainsbury is an artist living and working in London.  She is best known for her highly detailed and instantly recognisable stylised architectural pencil drawings. She has an ever growing following on social media with more than 100,000 followers on Instagram and her videos on TikTok receiving many millions of views.

In addition to the exposure from social media Minty has been featured in publications such as The Times, Hermès and Wallpaper* magazine.

Minty has previously arranged and curated three hugely successful solo exhibitions. One in Glasgow in The Mackintosh Church in partnership with the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society, and two London exhibitions in Battersea and the creative hub of Soho.

Minty’s works together with art consultants and interior designers on larger scale projects and also on smaller bespoke commissions for individuals of anything from their house, university, school or a favourite building. Her pictures have been avidly collected and commissioned by private art collectors from all over the world from Berlin to Miami, from Beijing to New York.

Minty has been shortlisted for multiple drawing awards including: the RIBA Journal’s Eye Line Drawing competition, the Traditional Architecture Group measured drawing award, The Architecture Drawing Prize hosted by The World Architecture Festival, the Pastel Society Catalogue Award, and and international scarf design competition for the Hermès called Le Grand Prix du Carré Hermès.

Minty studied Architecture at the University of Cambridge where she graduated top of her year winning a RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) student award.
