Li Xiaojian: Landscape of Play

Fitzrovia Gallery is pleased to present Landscape of Play, a solo exhibition by Chinese artist Li Xiaojian, one of the pioneers of golf-themed painting in China. Bringing together a selection of recent oil and watercolour works, the exhibition explores the golf course as more than a sporting setting, using its landscapes to reflect on nature, memory and our relationship with the environment. Inspired by years of research, including visits to some of Britain’s most historic golf courses, Li’s paintings transform familiar fairways and greens into thoughtful studies of place, time and the natural world, marking an important chapter in his international career.
